Calling Manchester her home for at least a few more weeks, singer-songwriter Marcy Each would like to celebrate the release of her new CD Already Home at a fundraising event for West Delaware Friends of Music. This CD release concert with be on Sunday October 23rd at 3:00pm at Hanson Auditorium. This is Marcy’s first professionally engineered and produced album. Three time Grammy nominee and fourteen time Dove award-winning songwriter and producer, Wayne Haun, along with award-winning producer and engineer, Kevin Ward, have recorded and produced Marcy’s record with the intent to pitch songs to TV, film and recording artists. Stylistically, this love-song filled album is difficult to label, but after meeting Acoustic Guitar magazine’s senior editor, Scott Nygaard wrote the following: “Each’s gorgeous, soulful singing and songwriting was the talk of the dining hall – calling her a combination of Norah Jones and Gillian Welch describes her without really doing her justice.” Already Home is a 10 song collection of folk/country/jazz/bluegrass and gospel mix. For this fundraiser Marcy with be accompanied by fiddle player Dave Mehaffey, mandolin player Keith Yoder, bass player Daryl Yoder and keyboard player Rachel Roeth. Marcy’s siblings Rachel Roeth, Holly Bodin and Andy Schoepf, will also be singing harmonies. Opening for Marcy will be Allie Lapointe, a professional songwriter from Cedar Rapids. Marcy and her husband Rev Jake Each, Pastor of Cornerstone Church and their children will be relocating to Arizona in late October, to a new calling in Jake’s ministry.
Friends of Music prides itself in bringing great events to our Hanson Auditorium and teaming up with Marcy for this fundraiser will do just that. All proceeds for this event will benefit the music students at West Delaware, we thank you in advance for you support.
