Roots & Wings - Simon Estes Concert

A series of concerts touring Iowa's 99 counties featuring Simon Estes along with local choirs and showcasing promising young artists.  The concert tour is designed to raise funds fo the Simon Estes Iowa Educational Foundation.

Iowa native and internationally renowned opera singer Simon Estes is embarking on a concert tour of Iowa bringing him to all of Iowa's 99 counties over a three year period.  Simon Estes' career has spanned over four decades, taking him around the world.  His life experiences and exceptional voice are something from which young people and adults alike can gain insight and inspiration.  Bringing Simon Estes to inspire students and the entrie community is truly a unique opportunity.  The tour will feature Simon Estes in concert performing familiar selections from Broadway and opera as well as inspirational songs and spirituals.  The concert will also include local choirs and a promising young artist chosen by Mr. Estes.  In addition, Simon Estes will attend post concert events and will have recordings and books available at concert.

The Erling B & Dorothy E Hanson Foundation Board is very excited to host this event.
